Andrew's 1st taste of football

L-E-T-S G-O, let's go let's go, L-E-T-S G-O, LET'S GO!
Andrew had his scrimmage against the 3rd and 5th graders last night. He played a variety of positions some of which he wasn't fond of! He was a bit nervous for his first experience but he performed well. He even tackled a 5th grader! He was so proud of himself as was his mom!

The blog has been on the back burner for almost a month. We've managed to stay busy and now since school is in session, schedules are even crazier for a while. I am enjoying the days with the girls while the boys are at school. This gives me more one on one time. The kids have all started activities and we plan to enroll Mary in her first ever dance class! I think we are more excited about it than she is although she sure does like the ballet slippers and tap shoes! I'm sure that I've left something out but this has already taken 1/2 hour to manage and I have to go get the boys from school. Enjoy the photos. Don't forget to sign the guestbook! Love to you all! (Except B-Randon...you know who you are!) :-)

We took a trip to Wisconsin for our summer finale to visit aunts, grandparents, cousins and one of the coolest uncles EVER! Everyone had a blast! It was so much fun for all. The kids enjoyed swimming daily and often, fishing, boating, playing in the bounce house, watching SPROUT, walks, trips to the Piggly Wiggly, food and treats!

Finally...haircuts! The boys haven't seen the inside of a salon since our Texas trip in March! Ha! Ha! I told them that I'd allow for them to grow their hair out for the summer but we would have to clean it up for school. Andrew's hair is still a bit too long but we'll wait for the principal to tell us to get his hair cut! He's such a rebel!

"Grammer" comes for a visit and her hair turns green! Mary enjoyed playing dress up with her and decorating her with lots of Elmo stickers too!

It's ICECREAM time! Yeah!!!!

We spotted a cow in our backyard, crazy huh? The dogs were relentless with their barking and I had to figure out why! The kids thought that was pretty cool. Miscellaneous photos of the girls.

The first day of school! They were pretty excited to be there, especially Mary! She'll be in preschool soon enough!

Andrew had his 1st football practice EVER in his career! No more backyard football with his brother. He's moving up to the big leagues! Pads, helmets, uniform! He was so excited to have his practice uniform on for the 1st time. Had to capture his excitement!

Mary and Katie posing for an outdoor picture session. Okay, Katie wasn't really cooperating but we are all known to have our bad day(s)....right? Katie showing us proudly that she's "1"! Yea!

A small video of Katie showing off...taken today (8/26).

Are you having fun this summer???

The newest member of the Cardinal Football team...Football camp is this week and so far, no problems! In fact, if the shirt is still white then he's not practicing hard enough...right?

Mary was playing with her babies and found a cute way to snuggle with them too! Andrew and Mary were loving on each other (not because they wanted to but because I said to!)

We had an impromptu photo session in our front yard.

Andrew spent a few days at Webelo Camp...he learned a lot including some silly tunes! We've tried to hit the parks (school playgrounds) when the weather isn't so hot. Mary LOVES the swing and slides.

The holiday weekend

We hope that everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July.

The 4th of July was spent with friends and family in JC. We stayed fairly busy and stayed up way too late many nights! I think everyone had a lot of fun!

We went to a parade on the 4th then headed to the city park for the festivities.

CHEEZE! Shelby and Tony (Mary was behind the camera thus them bending down-they must not realize that she knows how to use the camera!)

Jefferson Starship came to entertain the crowd. The festival included a petting zoo, live animal entertainment, vendors, food etc...

Mary LOVES animals so we had to hit the petty zoo. She took "Woodstock" for a ride too!

birthdays, parties and more...

We finally had our Chuck E Cheese "poopy party"! Mary had finally decided to try to go poop on the potty and as we promised, we took her to CEC for a little pizza and some games. She is still doing real well with that although now she thinks the backyard is the place to go poo! GROSS, I know but real easy to clean up! Right, Dad????

Matthew at one of his baseball games preparing for his grand slam!

Andrew celebrated his 9th birthday with some of his friends for a Laser Tag party. They had a blast to say the least!

To prepare for the 4th of July, we purchased some poppers (Champagne style, snap pops etc...). The kids seemed to enjoy themselves UNTIL they realized that they had to help clean up the mess!!!

We went to the Arboretum for a morning stroll and to capture some Kodak moments.

Our niece, Sophie Jean (the BEAUTY QUEEN) is nearing the end of her vacation with us!! I know that she misses her family enormously but I also know that she'll be missed a whole bunch by her family here too!
