The first weekend with the puppies

Lucy is such a great Mama! She and the pups went to the vet on Saturday morning and everyone looks real healthy! He didn't tell us their weights but they appear to be bigger than her last litter. We had our second visitors to see the puppies...still no takers on anyone wanting to add to their families...we've got some time. Our other dogs don't appear to mind the recent additions to the family however, they really don't have much interaction with them at this point.

The kids had a playdate on Friday afternoon...Katie was hanging out while her sissy and friend played!

...can't seem to take enough puppy photos and of course, everyone wants to have their share of "puppy time"!

The puppies have arrived

...finally! After laboring most of the evening with little to no progress, we made a trip to our vet (after hours of course). He administered some Oxytocin and still little progress was made so Lucy went in for a c-section. She had 4 male puppies born around 1am, 6 months to the day that her last litter was born! What a woman she is, huh? Long story short, the puppies are taking quite nicely to her, she'll be sore for a bit due to her incision but we're so happy that the puppies are here! We need homes for these little guys...think about it and let us know!

BTW, Mary is thoroughly enjoying these puppies!

What would the day be without eating an EASTER BUNNY cake?? Most enjoyed it, although I think they'd prefer to have a chocolate bunny rather than white cake with whipped topping!

Easter greetings...

A collection of some photos taken the day before and on Easter. We colored eggs, made an easter bunny cake, opened up some baskets and hunted for eggs. I think the Easter Bunny spoiled everyone

What a day to play outdoors. I'm sure that Katie didn't need her hat, but since I'm the over protective mama and since daddy isn't around, Katie is gonnna wear her hat! We had a Little Debbie snack outdoors~at least I did that right! :-) We'll play outside again once the boys get home from school. Did I mention that we are in the low 70's today! OMG! I'll take it even if it's for only 1 day!

With a little coaxing, Mary finally went and touched the bunny's knee for this quick photo! No tears this year but she was still a little nervous!

The girls have been having lots of fun especially Mary with her new found interest in fashion! What a hoot! After 6 complete changes, she was ready to take her shower and move on with the day. Who knows...maybe she'll continue down the path of fashion and be a clothing designer or walk down the catwalk! Katie...well, she obviously likes baths! Enjoy the photos!
