Katie has started making some real funny noises and chomping with her gums (mouth)...this was way too cute to not capture on video!

I can't forget to mention that yesterday we went out to the mall to do some shopping and had lunch...Miss Mary went potty for the very first time outside of the house in a public restroom! At first she was a little nervous because the radio was too loud in the bathroom, but she quickly calmed down and decided to make Mommy and Daddy "so proud"! Okay, I'm not a big fan of public restrooms but it is important for children to understand that bathrooms do exist in other places besides at home! We are going out for lunch again today with a friend, who knows if she'll have the urge to check out the bathroom there!

We went for pictures today although our session was rather unsuccessful. Not due to the girls but rather the tardiness of the portrait studio and the unwillingness for us to wait any longer! So...we'll try again later, for now this will have to do! Katie is beginning to make some different noises and spends more time sitting up. She is certainly enjoying the consumption of food besides plain old Mama Milk!

Our big girl

Mary is becoming quite the natural of being a big girl and going potty on the toilet! In fact, yesterday she only had one accident all day Today she has gone to the bathroom all by herself without being told "it's time"! She knows that ELMO gets real sad if he gets wet (she has new ELMO panties courtesy of Daddy)! Who knows...maybe we can venture out of the house sometime soon w/o a pull up on! WOW!

We also celebrated yet another birthday! This will be the final birthday celebrated until Little Miss Katie's 1st (June 19th) and Andrew's 9th (June 24th)!

It's freezing here in KS!

What's there to do when the temps are single digits with wind chills below freezing but BEDAZZLE! Mary was quite the helper in making her bag! Watch out, you never know if you too will in fact get one of our creations!

Mary was also starting to get in the St. Pat's fever and proudly wore her green hair and posed for the camera! We'll be in TX for St. Pat's this year, hopefully...that's if our dog Lucy isn't pregnant (yet) again!

8 months ago today...

Katie joined our family! It's hard to believe how quickly time flies by! Mary had another ELMO day....she found her elmo pjs and panties so she changed her clothes MANY times until Mommy said that was enough!

Our winter storm has finally arrived!

I'm not sure that even the meteorologists believe that the snow is falling and that we have more than 2" of accumulation! Mary and Daddy went out to play in the snow. Katie was in my arms and even sat down albeit briefly. Daddy helped Mary try to shovel off the drive but Daddy was way too much fun!

Mary is growing up!

We've been working (just a little) with Mary and going potty like a big girl. Today was her first day in a pull up and after one accident, she told me she had to potty and off to the potty we went. She pulled down her pull up, sat on the seat and made some potty! No playing games, just in there to take care of business! Of course she was rewarded after a bunch of hugs and kisses from Mom with a lollipop of her choice but of course she wanted "bubblegum"!
We are so proud of her accomplishment!

It's a lollipop day!

Mary loves her lollipops! She had a "color blast" lollipop of which she just had to have...should I also mention that it's only 9am! Needless to say, she has enjoyed some of the lollipop now it's off to the shower to clean up! I'm sure we'll have to pull out the "pop" a little later!

Charlie had a little minor surgery yesterday..we are trying to help control the pet population! Lucy isn't too sure about his collar! Katie was posing for a few pictures this am.

We're trying to teach Mary how to potty like a big girl..we'll get there. Not too many accidents as of yet.
