We went to the Bon Jovi concert last night and it was Andrew's introduction to 80's (glam) rock! Daughtry opened up for the band so we had a great time! We saw a lot of 40+ something women, balding men and a few kids...I will forever remember this night !

What a great nite...football, fun, freebies and cheerleaders! Mary was fascinated with the "Jayhawks" and I think everyone else (except Katie) liked watching the potential future stars of the KS Jayhawks perform. It wasn't too cold (finally a night that we can be outdoors w/o freezing our tails off)! Warmer weather for today and tomorrow then once again, rain showers and cooler temps! Arg!

...we're burning some rubber going back and forth to Lawrence! Memories are being made that will (hopefully) last a lifetime. We managed to squeeze into a driveway to watch the parade with reports of a crowd up to 100,000 we chose to sit near the end of the route. The band/cheer squad and Jayhawks weren't in the procession when they made it to our location, but those 5 minutes we had with the team were amazing! Andrew slapped hands with Brandon Rush and Sasha Kaun. He's now considering KU when he goes off to college rather than being a Longhorn!

What a night! Our beloved hawks pulled off a miracle and beat Memphis for the National Champion title and we are off to Lawrence to help celebrate with perhaps 40,000 of our closests friends! It's a cold and rainy day here but we've decided to make the trip West to witness history in welcoming the team back home! The boys already think that they are going to get some autographs, not sure why they think that but perhaps they'll realize that pictures will probably be all that we get, we'll definitely bring the camera.
I took some photos of the kiddos decked in the KU gear (notice, we don't really have much of that but we tried our best!)

The first weekend with the puppies

Lucy is such a great Mama! She and the pups went to the vet on Saturday morning and everyone looks real healthy! He didn't tell us their weights but they appear to be bigger than her last litter. We had our second visitors to see the puppies...still no takers on anyone wanting to add to their families...we've got some time. Our other dogs don't appear to mind the recent additions to the family however, they really don't have much interaction with them at this point.

The kids had a playdate on Friday afternoon...Katie was hanging out while her sissy and friend played!

...can't seem to take enough puppy photos and of course, everyone wants to have their share of "puppy time"!

The puppies have arrived

...finally! After laboring most of the evening with little to no progress, we made a trip to our vet (after hours of course). He administered some Oxytocin and still little progress was made so Lucy went in for a c-section. She had 4 male puppies born around 1am, 6 months to the day that her last litter was born! What a woman she is, huh? Long story short, the puppies are taking quite nicely to her, she'll be sore for a bit due to her incision but we're so happy that the puppies are here! We need homes for these little guys...think about it and let us know!

BTW, Mary is thoroughly enjoying these puppies!
