It's almost Halloween

The puppies won't be dressed up this year, but we'll have our bases covered with KSU cheerleaders, KSU football player, rapper and gypsy! Lucy might be in her ladybug costume.

We went to a Halloween party in our neighborhood over the weekend; what a great day for this little event. We took our neighbor's daughter (the flower), Mary is a few years younger than she is but that's okay.

Puppies are doing well; they are becoming more playful. Good thing that we have a home for the barking puppies! :-)

We'll post more photos after tomorrow!

Enjoy!

To the pumpkin patch we go...

Some photos from the pumpkin patch.
Yellow (AKA Marcie) chillin' out in "grama's" hands!
The puppies playing outside~their first time in the grass!

Hot day here in KS! We thought we'd try to hit a local pumpkin patch little did we know that 1/2 the city had the same idea regardless of the 50mph winds! Needless to say, the perfect pumpkins were found, the girls seemed to enjoy the time. Mary took FOREVER finding the "right" one and even when that happened, I think Daddy is the one that chose it for her! Katie, was just along for the ride!

Our furry kiddos spent some time outdoors today. Mary really enjoys the pups! It's hard to keep her hands off of them at times!

Catching up!

The puppies are growing up. All of their eyes are open and a few are trying to walk! We're not quite ready for that yet! Lucy is the best (puppy) Mama ever!

Andrew was working on a social studies assignment and we needed to track down a "boot" for his homework. This is hand painted by a local artist. Mary thought it would be pretty cool to chill out in Katie's car seat! I managed to capture Katie just as she woke up from her nap.

The puppies resting (some more). Mary wanted to rest with them as well. I think she is sometimes confused!

The girlies...Katie and Mary!

Mama and her little peanut! Mary tried to get in the picture but she was having more fun watching the flash then running!

The girls!

Mary and "homeless"...actually, we're not sure if Aunt Shelby will be taking this one along with Patty and Franklin or if Aunt Kaye will be taking her home when she makes a trip to see us again! No pressure!!!

Aunt Shelby got Katie this cute little outfit...hat is a little snug, but otherwise, it's adorable...Katie luvs her Mummy!

We're working on potty training Mary today...it's only been 1/2 hour and she's already soaked 3 pairs of panties and gave me a stinky pickle to clean up too! Oh well...we'll get there!

Katie and her pups!

While Mary was napping, it was photo time with Katie and "pinky" and "red". If you look closely, you can see Katie's drool on the male (red). We are having so much fun with these little pups around. Last night we had them in the living room with us~Charlie was very curious, he didn't get too close, Lucy had her eye on him!

Sweet Mary

Little Miss Mary lovin' on Lucy's pup (pinky)...this is the first time that she has held a pup! She did a wonderful job! Lucy is adjusting quite nicely to her new role as a mommy!

The "peanut" gang...

The boys are in RED and BLUE fabric strips and the girls are in PINK, ORANGE and YELLOW. The "runt" is the red boy (he was a little over 7 oz). The biggest pup is the orange girl weighing in at just over 9oz!

...okay, so we're not demanding that for those that will be taking Lucy's pups home with them continue to call her kiddos names from the Peanuts...but while they are with us (for the next 6-8 weeks) we'll be calling them, woodstock, franklin, peppermint patty, sally and marcie! :-)

The chaos continues!

Lucy has finally given birth to 5 puppies...3 girls and 2 boys. What an experience. I'm not sure how she could concentrate with all the noise happenin' here...everyone was in aw of the experience. We'll take her and her pups to the vet tomorrow for their first outting! Poor Charlie...we'll have to pay extra special attention to him since he can't be with his "honey"!
