Almost a week old

Mary wanted to hold the puppies again....she was real gentle and even got a kiss from "pinky"!

While Mary was napping, it was photo time with Katie and "pinky" and "red". If you look closely, you can see Katie's drool on the male (red). We are having so much fun with these little pups around. Last night we had them in the living room with us~Charlie was very curious, he didn't get too close, Lucy had her eye on him!

Little Miss Mary lovin' on Lucy's pup (pinky)...this is the first time that she has held a pup! She did a wonderful job! Lucy is adjusting quite nicely to her new role as a mommy!

The "peanut" gang...

The boys are in RED and BLUE fabric strips and the girls are in PINK, ORANGE and YELLOW. The "runt" is the red boy (he was a little over 7 oz). The biggest pup is the orange girl weighing in at just over 9oz!

...okay, so we're not demanding that for those that will be taking Lucy's pups home with them continue to call her kiddos names from the Peanuts...but while they are with us (for the next 6-8 weeks) we'll be calling them, woodstock, franklin, peppermint patty, sally and marcie! :-)

The chaos continues!

Lucy has finally given birth to 5 puppies...3 girls and 2 boys. What an experience. I'm not sure how she could concentrate with all the noise happenin' here...everyone was in aw of the experience. We'll take her and her pups to the vet tomorrow for their first outting! Poor Charlie...we'll have to pay extra special attention to him since he can't be with his "honey"!

My oh my how the litte one has grown!

Katie turned 3 months old on the 19th! We are all so lucky to have her! What a joy she is! When you think you've had a bad day, all you need to do is to look at her and let that smile of hers melt away all your problems! Of course Mary has a great smile as well...we are equally as blessed that she's so happy too! Lucy is still hanging in there! ANY DAY now she'll have those pups and we'll be making some calls and posting some pictures of her pups! We found this slimy creature in our garden the other day. Andrew took it school to show it off...it was by the far the largest slug that I've ever seen. Rather than make a scientific experiment out of him, we chose to release him back into the mulch...if he destroys anything we'll have to reconsider and hunt him down! Some highlights from our day! Mary was chillin' in her little sis' swing...hmm...wonder why she likes that so much? Katie was all tuckered out after a day of playing and sleeping! She just took a big poo so that made a difference as well!

Picture day...

Another kodak moment! The little girls were so patient while I tried to take some pictures. Mary is 20 months old today!!! Can hardly believe that her 2nd birthday is right around the corner! WOW!

It is picture day today at school. Mary also thought it was her picture day. She has been following me around today taking care of her baby while I watch mine (Katie)!

What a gorgeous day for pictures...an overcast day outdoors here. For those curious, I wanted for you to see how little Miss Lucy is growing outwards now! She really does not do a lot these days other than move from one place to the next (real slow)! I'm sure she is wondering what is happening to her body! We're counting the days before we meet Pigpen, Linus, Sally, Frederick etc... No, we're not keeping all of her pups, we'll be happy if her litter can stay in the family! (Our extended family)!

The kids and I went to visit with Mumu over the weekend. We played at the park, watched movies, played outside and just "hung out". We had a good time. I even caught Mumu babysitting Katie with her eyes closed!! Hmm...it looked more like a nap to me! :-) I guess it was okay since Katie also had her eyes closed!

Mary and her little sister...Mary wore that dress on her 1st Easter! It's amazing how quickly the kids are growing up! Lucy was posing for the camera! A mother in waiting! Her pups should be here in the next few weeks!
